Waiting to get fired

One of my biggest challenges during this Covid-19 isolation is that I have no access to a kiln, which in turn leads to other annoying dilemmas. How many pieces do I really want to create and have sitting around in the house? Because this means transporting bone dry pieces one day to the studio by car. At bone dry clay is at its most fragile stage. And anyone who's been driving here knows that Boston area roads are an ugly patchwork of potholes of all shapes and sizes, metal plates, elevated manholes and what not. I can tell you, roads are smoother in INDIA than in Massachusetts!

Anyway, this 20cm vase is one of my new pieces that I just can't wait to get fired.
